I would add and say to Sarah - Have a conversation with him. Tell him if he was single you'd want the relationship with him, but as he's not you're not waiting around. Get out there, get positive and focus on meeting someone new. Funnily I met a guy years ago who lived with his girlfriend but kept saying they were breaking up. I got tired of waiting. I took a stand and told him (as above). Then, a month later, he rang me to tell me his girlfriend had left his flat and they had split. But guess what - 9 months later I was in almost in her position. He just wasn't committed, so I took another stand and said what I wanted. It didn't happen. I left him.
